QUALIFICATIONS

I have served on the school board since September 2021.
I have over 40 years’ experience as a teacher and administrator in three different school districts in Wisconsin and one in North Carolina.
I have been a teacher, a program manager, a transition specialist, and an administrator.
I have overseen large budgets ($300,000-$500,000) as the Transition Specialist and coordinator of a diploma track in NC.

I have observed the Beloit Board of Education for nearly two years before being appointed in 2021.
I serve on the League of Women Voters' Education Study Committee.
I worked with businesses, agencies and school districts in Rock County for career/job development for students, including:

- Job Olympics
- Community Conversation on employment and transportation
- Business tours
- Work experiences: Job Shadowing, Work Skills, Work Experience
- College tours: BTC, UW-Rock, UW-Whitewater, etc.

I have written, received and administered numerous grants in Beloit, including:
- Employment First,
- Transition Improvement Grant, and
- Graduation Rate Improvement Plan Grant.
I have worked closely with the Departments of Public Instruction in Wisconsin and North Carolina
